Steps off the High Line, the Whitney is a wonder of 20th- and 21st-century American art. Let us create a private tour of the Whitney's unprecedented collection of Edward Hoppers, Jasper Johns and Frank Stellas while sharing the story of Renzo Piano's architectural marvel overlooking the Hudson River, with views to the new World Trade Center.

You may also want to consider a private tour at any of these wonderful New York City museums. Heart of the Art tours them all:

  • The MET Cloisters (The MET's branch for medieval and early Renaissance art)

GALLERIES
The Chelsea art district is one of the most important and influential art districts in the world. It is concentrated largely between West 18th and West 27th streets, and between Tenth and Eleventh avenues (an easy walk from The High Line). The district boasts more than 350 galleries; many buildings have multiple floors of galleries. New York also has vibrant gallery scenes on The Lower East Side, Downtown, Midtown, Uptown, in Brooklyn and in Queens. Emily's colleague, Virginia, can curate a gallery experience just for you. This site offers an extensive list of galleries; we can steer you to the best shows at the time of your visit.
